Whatcha' gonna do when they come for you?

Martin Lawrence: Marcus Burnett

Will Smith: Mike Lowrey

Gabrielle Union: Sydney Burnett

Joe Pantoliano: Captain Howard

Directed by Micheal Bay

Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer

Bottom Line: The Boys are back & they are picking up right where they left off.

Story Line: Miami, eight years removed from the explosions, car chases and drug lords, we find Marcus Burnett & Mike Lowrey again trying to trip up a drug lord through car chases & explosions.

Tell Me More: In watching the first movie you get the idea that probably one percent of all the dialogue between Lawrence and Smith was scripted and the rest was improv.  Same rules apply here, which isn't much of a problem for me because I think both men are funny and talented. But I feel some of their interaction could benefit with some scripted, tailored humor-not too tailored because that's not their style-but a little tugging of the reins would be nice.

Acting and story reveal there is plenty wrong with this movie, but no one was out for Oscar nominations here. This is a "mile-a-minute," big budget, summer action picture, with slick cinematography, amazing stunt sequences, bullets, guns, yada yada yada.  It is what it is¾it's real cool to watch and a fun ride.  But if you're looking for art…keep looking!

Rated R for strong violence and action, pervasive language, sexuality and drug content
