Brenda Sexton
Brenda Sexton comes to film criticism after a successful career in corporate real estate where she was President of Corporate Services in Chicago for a major national real estate firm.
In addition to her love of film and the arts, Brenda has studied acting, was a television model in Japan and spent two years in the advertising world working for J. Walter Thompson and Olgivy & Mather. Originally from New York City, Brenda earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Denver, and lived for a year in both Japan and France before getting her Masters in International Management.
In addition to her film reviews for Reel Movie Critic, Brenda writes regularly for Chicago Social magazine focusing on celebrity interviews. She recently interviewed Brian Dennehy, Bob Balaban, Faye Dunaway, Sigourney Weaver and Halle Berry.
Brenda lives in Chicago with her teenage daughter, Christine, is an officer of the Chicago Film Critics' Association, a member of The Women's Board of the Goodman Theatre, Vice President of the Executive Board of PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving), Chicago and an active member of The Economic Club of Chicago.
