All Inclusive List Of What We Hated The Most
Astronaut's Wife

The first clue was that there were zero written reviews to compliment the previews at the movie houses. It looked good but the beauty was only skin deep. Joe Morgan was at his worst and he's a fine actor. The ending was beyond ridiculous. HBO would not put this on at 2AM on a Wednesday.

Batman & Robin

This plotless wonder is all about cool action and expensive special effects. Unlike a James Bond movie that always looks good and will make you smile even though it's nothing really special, you will go see it. I'll pass on the next B&R but will go see James in a few years.

Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover

A great sounding title fools you into thinking of a wonderful British mystery but you are slammed with depravity presented in a polished way. All freaks don't wear tattoos but can be dressed up in a suit. This movie makes you want to throw up.

Cruel Intentions
|
Yet another teenage movie about sexual seduction/coming of age. While there were some interesting moral & social issues raised, put together it was a total bore, unlike "Election" where some of the same messages kept your attention because you got some insight on the X generation.

Kikujiro

Takeshi Kitano

Lethal Weapon 4

Phrases like "beat to death", "I've seen it before", and Mel and Danny must need the money so they can do things like "Grand Canyon" and "Braveheart" come to mind. But somebody thought it was so good that Mel made "Payback" which could be a substitute on the list.

Some Florida Noir movies are wonderful such as the hot "Body Heat" and the under appreciated "Blood & Wine" where Jack Nicholson and Michael Caine are at their sleaze ball best & Jennifer Lopez first made you ask "who is that!?". Then there are the ones that use the ocean, warm sun and beaches to lure you to a setting where much ado about nothing is going on center stage. Low-level crime scum balls populate the movie who scream at women that are supposed to be sexy. Duh……maybe all of those useful cable channels will one day fill a void.

Postman

Choosing this over "Waterworld" was a toughie but at least the latter had action and was of interest because Kevin Costner went so much over budget you wanted to see what the money was spent on. A better comedy than Airplane, but presented as an epic story of development of the Western US, one had to laugh AT rather than WITH the situations. Any redeeming value is that it makes a point that all 3 hour movies don't have to be bad, with films such as "The Green Mile", "Hurricane", "Topsy Turvy" & "Saving Private Ryan" attest to.
