For Da Love of Money
A hilarious comedy about striking it rich, 'For Da Love of Money' is a day in the life of Dre, an average guy living in the hood. Unbeknownst to Dre, his backyard has been used to stash cash from an armored truck robbery.
When news circulates that he has the stolen money, Dre suddenly finds himself a very popular man with all of his cash-strapped friends and neighbors.
'For Da Love of Money" is written, directed by and stars actor/comedian Pierre, best known for roles as Halle Berry's boyfriend Ali in 'B.A.P.S,' and as Bill Bellamy's womanizing friend David in 'How to Be a Player." The film also stars Renaido Rey, Sacha, Tanya Boyd, Maurice Patton and Sean Anderson.
Produced by Taj Lewis and Pee-Air Productions, the film is executive produced by Urbanworld's president and chief executive officer, Stacy Spikes and Peter Golden.
A newly formed distribution company, Urbanworld Films is drawing on the successful formula of Urbanworld Film Festival, the premiere festival presentation of urban and ethnic film content and launching traditional theatrical content appealing to its target Afrir-an-American, Latin and Asian audiences.
