IMAX For the Fast and Furious  and Out Cold Crowd

Director: Willy Bogner

30 Second Bottom Line: Incredible skiing using the IMAX format with a lame plot.

Story Line: To the extent there is a story, it's that this reminds me of a porn movie. Bad actors sit around daydreaming or saying words that mean little to nothing and then all of a sudden you are in heavy-duty action. Instead of sex, its skiing, snow boarding and mountain biking that only a professional should dare try.

The sound track is awesome and supports eye candy for the skiers. Some of the stunts merit words like incredible and outstanding. We see a car parasailing; skiers' zooming down a toboggan track, snow boarders literally on mountain tops after being dropped off by a helicopter, and more. The actors and stunt people are in the yuck it up crowd with sex teasers such as snow boarders landing in a resort pool surrounded by shapely woman in bikinis.

Unlike most IMAX films, there are no history lessons here.

Tell Me More About It: Other than the stunts which are in the awesome category, the film is a commercial for a host of companies. I feel as if there should be a movie after this one. It's not quite in the category of the commercials at the multiplex before the trailers like Britney Spears and Robert Dole pushing Coke and Tiger Woods trying to sell Honda's. I wonder how effective those commercials really are…one might even forget the product that was being promoted (sarcasm intended).

To the extent there is something worthwhile from the film, it's that the people in the film are living their life to the limit. They are enjoying it to the max, and it's hard to knock that.
